WhewāMarch (and the first week of April) flew by super fast, and I'm just now getting to sit down and reflect.Ā Even though this post is a little late, Iām so glad to be connecting with you right here.
March was full of beautiful days, including celebrating our amazing Ezekiel. This boyāfull of vision and heartāturned 11, and we threw him a bee-themed bash complete with honey sticks, sweet treats, and buzzing with big kids šš
But the best part? He used his bee-day money andĀ the cash heād saved to officially launch his venture: Zeeās Bees. With the help and guidance of local beekeepers, Zeke selected his hives, assembled and painted them, prepared everything, and ordered his first colony. The bees arrive in just a couple of weeks!
He can hardly wait, and honestly, neither can we. Thereās something so exciting and hope-filled about watching your child pursue their dreams. We plan to have jars of honey available for purchase on our website in late summer.
šø Weāll be sharing more hive photos and updates on IG, so buzz over there! And if youāve ever kept bees, weād LOVE to hear your stories and advice!
We also created an Amazon listĀ for Zeeās Bees supplies & birthday party faves in case youāre planning something similar or want to follow alongāweāre happy to share what worked (and what didnāt š).
Another sweet memory from March was our Big Boy Getaway. If youāve never done a one-on-one (or in our case, three-on-two!) trip with your older kids, do it! It doesnāt have to be fancy or far. We stayed within two hours of home and still packed in plenty of fun!
We spent the weekend focused on our oldest three boys (ages 12, 11, and 9)ādreaming together, praying, planning, and just pouring into their hearts. There was sledding (it was crazy intense!), sleeping in (bliss), and even a little shopping. We carved out time to speak life over them, laugh with them, and hear their goals, dreams, and questions.
We all came home refreshed. Confident. Heard. That kind of time is priceless.
Here are a few things we've been working on this month:
Prepare.Ā Whether itās making space for bees, birthdays, or simply tomorrowās to-dos, preparation makes room for peace.
Ask for help.Ā We couldnāt have done half of what we did this month without the support of friends, mentors, and kind-hearted locals.
Take care of your friendships.Ā With your spouse, with your kids, and with those you do life with. Relationships need tending, just like gardens or bee colonies.
Weāve got a few beautiful things ahead as we run into April:
š· Spring travelĀ ā Weāre gearing up for a bit of family travel (which always makes for great stories and... even better growth š )
šæ Our spring to-do listĀ ā Think garden planning, outdoor projects, and deep cleaning with purpose.
š· Passover prepĀ ā One of our favorite times of the year! A time to clear out the crumbs and the clutter in our homes and hearts. Weāll be sharing some reflections, family traditions, and recipes on our Instagram stories soon!
Passover always reminds us that God still delivers. Still rescues. Still redeems. And sometimes, that begins with a simple 'yes' and a clean kitchen table.
Before you go, weād love to hear from you. š
Whatās something thatās been bringing life to your home lately? A new rhythm, a favorite tradition, a book or verse thatās speaking to youāshare it in the comments or message us. We love hearing from this sweet community!
And if youāve got any tips on beekeeping, homeschooling wins, or meaningful ways you prepare for Passoverāsend them our way! Weāre all about cheering one another on as we pursue a slower, sweeter life.
āPleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.āĀ ā Proverbs 16:24
May this season be sweet and healingšÆāØ
