HEAL - 30 days of encouragement, inspiration, and action steps from a stage 4 cancer champion

You’re weary. The diagnosis is real. The fear is loud. And nothing you’ve tried is working fast enough.

This book was born in that place, when my back was against the wall, when doctors gave me no guarantees, and I knew I needed more than medicine. I needed a plan that partnered faith with action, rooted in God’s Word and practical daily steps.

A note from the Author:

I was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma at the beginning of the Covid pandemic.

I was unable to speak, walk or eat. My diagnosis took me, a born-again believer, from feeling like I was untouchable to being crushed in spirit. Fear, doubt, and pain became a familiar friend - but God showed himself faithful.

This is why I'm sharing my story. I believe that healing happens spiritually before it manifests physically. As you adorn your battle armor to tackle the physical war of sickness that you are against, be sure to fortify your soul. Your spirit transcends all physical bounds and abilities.

I want to invite you to use this book to ignite hope, walk in healing, and live your happily ever after.

To anyone going through a tremendous health struggle; be strong, be strong, and may you be strengthened!

Healing begins here

You’re exhausted. Maybe it’s illness, a diagnosis you never saw coming, or a slow, quiet battle with pain no one else can see. Your energy is gone. Your mind is foggy. And no matter what you’ve tried - you’re still not getting better.

I get it. I’ve lived it.

When I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, I knew I couldn’t afford to waste time chasing trends or relying on willpower alone. I needed real tools, God-honoring wisdom, and a plan that worked with my body, not against it.

I didn’t reject medical treatment - but I also didn’t stop there. I began using strategies that supported my immune system, lowered inflammation, and rebuilt strength when I felt completely depleted.

And now, I want to share those tools with you.

No fluff. No trendy hacks. Just what actually worked when my life was on the line. . You don’t have to stay stuck in survival mode. There is a way forward!

May 2020

One of many ER visits during the COVID lockdowns -  for a mysterious lump and swelling on the left side of my neck.

We were searching for answers, but nothing made sense.

Looking back now, it was the beginning of a journey we never expected - one that would test everything we knew and strengthen everything we believed.

June 2020

My health declined rapidly. I lost over 70 pounds and gradually lost the ability to walk, talk, or eat on my own.

Doctors discovered a paralyzed vocal cord, and I was given a nasogastric (NG) tube to ensure I could receive nutrition.

We continued with more tests as the search for answers intensified.

We finally had a diagnosis: Stage 4 T-cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

But even with answers, things continued to spiral. My body was failing. I was on high doses of narcotics, slipping in and out of consciousness, often hallucinating.

Because of COVID restrictions, only two people were allowed in to see me - my wife and our pastor. Everyone else had to wait, pray, and hope from a distance.

Father's Day

The hospital made an incredibly rare and generous exception amid stringent COVID protocols. I was wheeled out to hug my boys - the first time I had held them in weeks.

I was surprised to see my entire family and church rallying there to cheer me on. It was a brief moment, but one I’ll never forget. A glimpse of hope and strength in the middle of one of the hardest seasons of our lives.

I received one round of chemo and fought with everything I had to get out of that hospital.

While I was deeply grateful for the compassionate care I received, I knew I needed to be home.

In this photo, my wife Rachel is feeding me through my PEG tube at home, while our children played with their aunts and uncles.

I was still in excruciating pain - weak, wounded, but deeply thankful to be surrounded by family.

July 2020

My healing began to spring forth in the weeks that followed.

We partnered with an integrative clinic that combined powerful natural therapies with a whole-body approach to healing. Slowly, strength returned. I began to walk again. Then speak - sing - and even dance.

That’s when I began writing HEAL - a testimony, a guide, and a lifeline for anyone walking through the impossible.

This book was born in the middle of the fight — when I was told there were no guarantees, when my body was breaking down, and when I had to decide: either I let fear win, or I build a plan rooted in faith, truth, and daily action.

HEAL isn’t just inspiration — it’s a battle-tested roadmap.

  •  Real steps I took during stage 4 cancer

  • Faith-based encouragement for each day

  • Practical tools to support your body, mind, and spirit

  • A lifeline when everything feels like too much

If you’re in the thick of it — scared, overwhelmed, or desperate for something that actually helps — this book is for you.
